Proiectul RoTEXTRA propune crearea unei antologii comentate a textelor românești despre traducere, în ediție bilingvă română-engleză. Mai întâi, se vor identifica cât mai multe și diverse scrieri românești care exprimă în principal reflecțiile autorilor lor, traducători profesioniști sau amatori și traductologi, despre teoria și practica traducerii; acestea vor putea fi texte independente (articole, studii) sau dependente (prefețe, postfețe, note etc.) și vor data incepand de la primele publicatii in limba romana si pana in perioada contemporana. Se va alcătui astfel o arhivă fizică și electronică cuprinzătoare a textelor românești despre traducere. Ulterior, se va opera o selecție a textelor pentru analiză pe criterii de relevanță și reprezentativitate pentru diferite perioade istorice și curente, precum și ținând seama de posibilitatea obținerii permisiunii în vederea publicării. În continuare, pentru textele selectate se vor elabora comentarii menite să evidențieze principalele idei și teorii expuse, apoi se va redacta o introducere generală pentru prezentarea în ansamblu și contextualizarea teoriilor românești despre traducere. În final, antologia bilingvă rezultata va fi editata si publicata la o editura recunoscuta si va servi ca lucrare de referință pentru promovarea și dezvoltarea în continuare a studiilor traductologice romanesti si generale.        

The RoTEXTRA project proposes to create an annotated anthology of Romanian texts on translation, in a bilingual, Romanian-English edition. The first step will be to identify as many and diverse as possible texts by Romanian authors, be they professional or amateur translators and translation scholars, that mainly express views on the theory and practice of translation; these can be independent texts (articles, studies) or dependent ones (prefaces, afterwords, notes, etc.) and will cover from the earliest publications in the Romanian language up to contemporary writings. A comprehensive physical and electronic archive of Romanian texts on translation will thus be established. Then, texts will be selected for analysis based on their relevance and representativeness for different historical periods and trends, also considering the possibility of securing publication permissions. Subsequently, the selected texts will be framed by commentaries designed to highlight the main ideas and theories expressed, and a general introduction will be drafted in order to provide an overview and contextualization of Romanian theories on translation. Finally, the resulting bilingual anthology will be edited and published with a recognized publisher and shall serve as a reference work for promoting and further developing Romanian and general translation studies.
